For the first time in history, the Ministry of Health organized National Health Week 2025 (Wiki Ya Afya), a nationwide commemoration held from April 3 to 8, 2025 in Dodoma, under the powerful theme: "Where We've Come From, Where We Are & Where We're Going: Building a Strong & Healthy Nation."
The week-long event was designed to spotlight Tanzania's progress in the health sector, address existing challenges, and share strategic efforts to enhance healthcare delivery for all citizens. It also served as a collaborative platform for engaging diverse health stakeholders committed to universal health coverage.
The event featured health exhibitions from all institutes across Tanzania, showcasing their products, services, and innovations to the public. Each institute had dedicated tent spaces where they engaged with citizens, provided health education, and demonstrated their contributions to the nation's health sector.
